NASA Robot Artificial GM-Operations of September

NASA Robot Artificial GM Operations of September
GM in cooperation with the U.S. space agency NASA in making robots that have human like body movements. Robonaut 2 or R2 prepared as permanent residents to join the international space station (the International Space Station / ISS) later this year.

Robot R2 will serve as a substitute humans for jobs that potentially endanger the lives of astronauts. This robot weighs 136kg is basically humanoid robot waist upwards, which is based on the torso, a head, complete with the fingers of a pair of arms.

He will arrive at the ISS in September and join with other robots that had arrived earlier that the Canadian Agency's Dextre, a robot which handles jobs outside the space station.

R2 assigned to the Destiny laboratory on the ISS, where he will be tested further for the development of the next robot. The final objective is to provide some form of R2 lower body to support the effective mobility according to their duties.

If listened briefly, then will arise the question: What do car manufacturers make high-tech robots?

This cooperation is very important to GM. Due to this project they can more diligently to develop technology related to sensors, actuators and data processing so that R2 can function well in performing his duties as a substitute for human tasks.

All of these complex systems can be applied to automotive products to develop safety features on vehicles produced by GM in the future
